While the Trail Town Program focuses its work in the towns of
Meyersdale, Rockwood, Confluence, Ohiopyle, Connellsville, and West
Newton, dozens of trailside communities line the Great Allegheny
Passage. Most are small towns that share a history steeped in
railroading and industry and now are vital links along the Passage.
Communities along the way that cater to trail users (from east to
west) are:
Cumberland, MD
Frostburg, MD
Perryopolis, PA
Boston, PA
McKeesport, PA
Visit www.greatalleghenypassage.com for amenities offered in these
and other communities along the Great Allegheny Passage.
The trail now ends just shy of its ultimate end point in Pittsburgh.
