Bud Murphy’s pizza is a local favorite.

Connellsville is at an ideal location along the Great Allegheny Passage. At mile 88, Connellsville is located between Ohiopyle and West Newton and is just 16 miles from Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater.

Connellsville is located on the banks of the Youghiogheny River, and it’s from this position that the city’s coke factories once fueled the regional economy. The industry was so lucrative that Connellsville is believed to have once boasted more millionaires per capita than any US city of its size. The result is a city with great river access and elaborate buildings, homes, and churches.

Today’s local favorites are Bud Murphy’s pizza, Bikes Unlimited, and Youghiogheny Station, a retail store for the Youghiogheny Opalescent Glass Co. This National Register of Historic Places landmark building is train station-turned-fine art glass gift gallery and stained glass outlet.

Connellsville’s proximity to Ohiopyle, Fallingwater, and other Laurel Highlands destinations positions the city to host bikers and other visitors to the region. Download the Connellsville Trail Town brochure for a complete listing of businesses.
